Out on what was the southeast end of the block (as it lay in the ground) things got hammered a bit by weathering, also a little root action. The roots really are drawn to the bones, but fortunately the filamentous little devils didn’t make too much of a home here. I think we’re looking at a couple of partial ribs, a few toe bones, and to the right is the distal (lower) end of a tibia to a mature Utahraptor. The shattered rib is the kind of thing I’ll deal with later, maybe much later. I am slowly working my way around the outer edge of the block.
